The Friends of Woodbridge Library (FOWL)
If you’re enthusiastic about libraries, would enjoy helping to organise library events and are willing to help with our fundraising activities, please ask a member of staff for more details. Currently, FOWL are looking for someone to handle publicity. Duties would include a monthly newsletter, submitting events to the local free press and updating social media. Please let a member of staff know if you are interested.

An informal drop-in for anybody interested in their mental health and wellbeing, as well as families and carers. It is run in partnership with Suffolk Mind. Knitting Group – Every Friday 2pm – 4pm
For all types of knitters from expert to beginners, sewing to crochet, come and share your knowledge or pick up some tips.
Christmas Craft Fair – runs for the whole month of December…….until stocks last!
Handmade crafts donated by the wonderful people of Woodbridge and the surrounding area will be on sale, generating much needed funds for the the library. Please do come along and grab a crafty Christmas bargain!
Lego Club for Children – Saturday 7th December 10am-2pm
Running on the first Saturday of every month, do come along to this free club and have a go at creating your own Lego masterpiece! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The Friends of Woodbridge Library (FOWL) present James Hornsby in “A Christmas Carol” – Thursday 5th December 7.30pm
Enjoy an fabulous evening of entertainment with James Hornsby’s solo performance of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.
James returns with a host of Charles Dickens’ wonderful characters, including Bob Cratchit and Tiny Tim, Jacob Marley, The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, Mr and Mrs Fezziwig and of course, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. All brought to life in the ‘inimitable’ style of Dickens’ own legendary public readings. Tickets are £10 each (CASH ONLY )and need to be booked in advance. Write Now Writing Group – Tuesday 10th December 2pm – 4pm Are you interested in writing short stories and poetry? Looking to share your work with others and get peer support, exchange ideas and more? We would be delighted for you to join us for our friendly and informal monthly writing group! Everyone can write – all abilities are welcome. Come along to our free Christmas show where you will see puppets and a magic show and have an opportunity to meet and greet a polar bear! No booking required and entry is free but any donations to The Friends of Woodbridge Library are always welcome.
Woodbridge Writers’ Workshop – Tuesday 10th December 5.15pm-7.15pm Creative poets and budding authors alike can meet up to share their ideas and gain support from fellow writers at this informal Writers’ Workshop. Books, Banter and Biscuits’ Book Group – Thursday 12th December 2pm – 4pm A book group that’s open to everyone, meeting on the second Thursday of every month. They will be discussing The Shepherd’s Hut by Tim Winton.
Postnatal yoga for mums and their babies – Tuesdays 10:15am – 11:15am (term time) starting Tuesday 17 September at Woodbridge Library Meeting Room. This is a small nurturing group class for maximum 8 mums and their babies. Classes are inclusive, welcoming and suitable for all abilities. Postnatal yoga classes are designed to help you relax, release tension, reconnect to your body and support your overall wellbeing. A play reading group that reads all varieties and genres of plays in a shared format, taking place on the third Thursday of every month.
