I was born in Surrey and lived there until I was 35 and then moved to Peterborough doing work for the UK and overseas. I moved to Suffolk in 1991, have 3 children and have been married to Maggie since 1976.
I am a retired BT development & technical support manager and worked on rural digital telephony. BT training gave me a great grounding in management.
After leaving BT in 2008 I worked in the travel industry for a year. I was then a relief care worker at Deben View in Woodbridge although I have now retired from that job too.
I have an NVQ3 in AAT accounts and I am the bookkeeper for the Ipswich Hospital Band.
I joined Melton Parish Council in 2011 and have been Chair since 2013.
My hobbies are golf, bowls, sailing, gardening & walking my black Labrador Molly.
