I was co-opted to Melton Parish Council in November 2020 and welcome the opportunity to support and promote resident wellbeing and improve where possible the local environment.
I moved to Melton in 2012 from South London with my family and have become increasingly involved with my community. I currently serve as a trustee and committee member of the Woodbridge sailing club having recently learnt to sail on the Deben. I have also been involved as an assistant at the outdoor learning centre at Foxburrow Farm.
My background is in housing development and I worked for over 20 years for Housing Associations delivering affordable homes and mixed tenure schemes in East London. My specialism was working as the client project manager with the professional construction team. I loved my job and was fortunate enough to work on many innovative projects. I retired early to provide full time care for my frail and elderly mother who is now in a full time residential care home.
I am a keen sailor and sea swimmer, I love walking the footpaths and bridleways of Suffolk.
