Investment Requests from Recreation Committee

At Recreation’s meeting on the 15th September 2021 several items were considered that do not have allocated budget so it was agreed to take to Full Council for allocation of budget and approval. Full Council is asked to consider the following items:

  • Grit bins – a replacement bin at Beresford Drive and an additional bin at St Andrews Place. The Highways website indicates that grit bins cost between £150 and £450 per bin.
  • Bus Shelter, Bury Hill Road – the Perspex in the bus shelter has been vandalised and damaged over the years. The Maintenance Officer does his best to keep the shelter clean and tidy but these are beyond repair. A replacement shelter would cost in the region of £1.5k.

 Councillors are asked to decide:

  • If two grit bins should be purchased using CIL funds
  • If the bus shelter at Bury Hill should be replaced, or if it should be placed on the projects list for prioritisation
