Access road to the Pavilion a requirement for Building Control sign off. The emergency decision makers agreed on the 14th September that widening the path by the tennis courts was preferable to installing a grasscrete system by the beech hedge.
1. Civil engineers were engaged for £900 to undertake a site inspection to review the proposals, design the new access road based on assumed CBR values to establish the sub base construction, design of concrete slab to bridge over the 300 diameter land drain that is quite shallow below finished levels and discharges into the adjacent stream and the production of AutoCAD drawings. 2. A quote of £22,363 to complete the works was submitted by Mixbrow. The architect approached two further companies for comparative quotes. Only one was received for £27,990.00. The quote of £22,363 was accepted and Mixbrow were instructed to proceed.
3. The Tree Safety Inspection carried out in August/September 2022 identified works that need to be carried out. A quote was received for £6,040. Some of this work can be paid out of CIL (divested land) so the works will not exceed the budgeted £5k. The tree surgeon was instructed to proceed (subject to TPO approval). |
