SIGNAGE FOR NEWLY DIVESTED LAND
At the Recreation Meeting on 24th March 2021 it was agreed that new signage would be purchased for some of the newly divested land (REC(21)21.01):
“To put permanent signage up at the following sites: Hall Farm Road Sports Ground, Leeks Hill Woods, Winifred Fison House (could be part of landscaping project), Beresford Drive play area and the footpath behind Saxon Way (one sign at each end). The sign will say the land is owned and maintained by Melton Parish Council and will include contact details.”
The six signs will be A4 and made of aluminium in white with black vinyl writing. They can be affixed to a board/wall/post as required. An example of how the sign would look is shown below. Including a QR code is optional.
Pricing is being sought from three companies.
Recommendations
Councillors are asked to:
- Note and comment on this report
- Agree the layout, wording and construction of the signs
- Agree to fund the signs from CIL and delegate the purchase of the signs to the office
