- Sunday 2 March: Wickham Market – Green Gym session of tree care 10.30am (2 hours max)
Meet at the young spinney at the end of Green Lane (public footpath to/from Mill Lane), off Chapel Lane. Finish off from the recent teamwork, refresh the native trees in the spinney and mulch with straw. Native species are used to enhance the landscape and provide a wonderful mini nature reserve and haven for birds! Straighten the tree tubes, add trees, mulch with straw.
Thank you to all of you who have helped over the winter planting and removing spent plastic.

On Monday 10 March volunteers from across the Greenprint Forum will be helping the ESSL countryside team to create and maintain pathways of woodchip at Woods Meadow Country Park.
It’ll be a great opportunity to get outdoors doing something active, meeting and chatting with others whilst making a positive contribution to the accessibility by the local community to this local natural space.

- Friday 28 March: Stowmarket – Suffolk Master Composter Training Course
Are you green fingered or even green minded? If so, why not consider joining the happy band of enthusiastic volunteers that make up Suffolk Master Composter Volunteers?
Places are available on the FREE Foundation Training course for new volunteers. You will receive expert training and ongoing support from Garden Organic and the Suffolk Waste Partnership, to enable you to act as composting ambassadors – encouraging and supporting the public to compost through promotional talks, events, and demonstrations. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 30 hours to helping the scheme after training.
The training is informal and relaxed, and no experience is required – all you need is an interest in composting and a willingness to give up some time to help others in the community! The training course takes place at the Food Museum in Stowmarket on Fri 28th March 2025 (9am to 5pm). Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis – lunch and travelling expenses will be provided for the training.
