Launch of new local Covid-19 website

A brand new website has been launched which aims to offer local people a single, comprehensive and accurate source of information about Covid-19 and vaccinations: https://sneevaccine.org.uk/

Created by health care experts at the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System, this site will contain lots of useful information to inform and reassure you during this time, enabling you to protect your own and your families physical and mental wellbeing.

What are we missing? Community event to discuss issues around Covid-19 – 21st January 2021 – 6pm

The local health and care system is hosting an event for local people to find out about issues relating to the COVID-19 vaccination.

We want to hear your questions about the vaccination and any issues you may wish to raise relating to matters such as ingredients, side effects and how to obtain the vaccines. Further information and how to join can be found on the SNEE website

Volunteers needed for Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

As the NHS is gearing up to deliver the Covid-19 vaccination programme volunteers are wanted to help with the roll-out.

We are seeking volunteers to act as stewards at the local vaccination centres across Suffolk which will be open seven days a week 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

People of all ages 18+ are encouraged to apply and we’ll provide all the necessary training and PPE to keep you safe. The hours available are flexible and you don’t need to have had any previous experience of working in health care.

This is a genuine opportunity to play a part in protecting the health of the local community.

Additionally, there are a number of paid-for positions which could suit those who have some health care experience – you can read more at the NHS website

Anyone interested should email epunft.recruitment.covid-19@nhs.net

To Live With Dying Website

To Live With Dying’ is a website for residents in East Suffolk. It is a portal to information and support around subjects related to death, dying and cherishing life.

Death is a natural process and one that comes to us all, albeit in many different ways. It is part of life, yet many of us are hesitant to talk about it, or plan for it. This website will guide you to local and national resources that provide helpful information and support. From how to live with a life-limiting illness, to finding bereavement and practical support when someone dies. It has been created by NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and Suffolk County Council in collaboration with local health and wellbeing organisations.

By talking about death and dying in our everyday lives and making plans for the future, we can cherish every moment of the life we have and improve the experience of end of life, for both for ourselves and our loved ones.
