Upcoming Works -A1152 Melton/Bromeswell and B1083 Bromeswell – Overnight road closures 15th and 16th June 2022

Suffolk Highways are planning to carry out  road repairs along A1152 Melton/Bromeswell and B1083 Bromeswell, as detailed below. The works are programmed to take place overnight between 15 and 16 June 2022. The roads will be closed between 8pm and midnight each night to ensure that they can carry out the works safely.

A1152 Wilford Bridge Road, Melton (from the junction with Station Road to Wilford Bridge Road, Bromeswell)
A1152 Wilford Bridge Road, Bromeswell
A1152 Orford Road, Bromeswell (from Wilford Bridge Road, Bromeswell to the junction with Eyke Road)
B1083 Sutton Road, Bromeswell

Diversion 1 (For A1152 Wilford Bride Road Closure) – A1152, B1069, B1078, A12, A1152 and vice versa.
Diversion 2 (For B1083 Sutton Road / A1152 Orford Road Closure) – The Walks, Woodbridge Airfield Road, Sutton Road, Heath Road, Woodbridge Road, Boyton Road, Capel St Andrew Road, Hollesley Road, Church Road, B1084 and vice versa.

The Wilford Bridge – Access points will be from the Wilford Bridge end. This is located within the closure, but ‘business open as usual’ signs will be installed, and access permitted at all times from this end.
The Unruly Pig – Access points will be from the Orford Road end. This is located within the closure, but ‘business open as usual’ signs will be installed, and access permitted at all times from this end.

As roadworks are planned  in advance, Suffolk Highways schedule extra days to allow for bad weather or other delays beyond their control. If they need to make major changes to work dates, they will update the information signs on site.
