The Friends of Woodbridge Library (FOWL) If you’re enthusiastic about libraries, would enjoy helping to organise library events and are willing to help with our fundraising activities, please ask a member of staff for more details.

Suffolk Libraries (don’t forget we are a charity!) – Items for Sale Available for sale are Suffolk Libraries “Love Your Library” jute bags for £5, torches and pens are also available for £3 each.

Open Space – Every Wednesday 1:30pm – 3:30pm  An informal drop-in for anybody interested in their mental health and wellbeing, as well as families and carers. It is run in partnership with Suffolk Mind. Discussions and activities are built from suggestions from the group. Knitting Group – Every Friday 2pm – 4pm For all types of knitters from expert to beginners, sewing to crochet, come and share your knowledge or pick up some tips.

Lego Club for Children – Saturday 3rd August 10am-2pm Running on the first Saturday of every month, do come along to this free club and have a go at creating your own Lego  masterpiece! Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

 Woodbridge Writers Group – Wednesday 7th August and Wednesday 21st August (1st and 3rd Wed of the month) 10am-12pm   

 Join our friendly group for reciprocal feedback, encouragement, and support regarding anything you’re writing or have written. A group of like-minded writers will be meeting in the Meeting Room. For more information, email:

Write Now Writing Group – Tuesday 13th August  2pm – 4pm  Are you interested in writing short stories and poetry? Looking to share your work with others and get peer support, exchange ideas and more? We would be delighted for you to join us for our friendly and informal monthly writing group!  Everyone can write – all abilities are welcome. Books, Banter and Biscuits’ Book Group – Thursday 8th August 2pm – 4pm  A book group that’s open to everyone, meeting on the second Thursday of every month. They will be discussing  Found in a Bookshop by Stephanie Butland

Suffolk Libraries Reading Quest – starts Saturday 13th July  and will run over the school summer holiday

Where will reading take you this summer? Our new summer “Reading Quest” for children aged 2-12 is an opportunity to try new reading experiences and activities and share the joy of reading over the summer holiday. We look forward to welcoming you into the library this summer!

Top Time Play Reading – Thursday 15th August 2pm – 4pm

A play reading group that reads all varieties and genres of plays in a shared format, taking place on the third Thursday of every month.

Top Time Games Club – Thursday 22nd August  2:00pm – 4:00pm

Improve your vocabulary and exercise your mind muscles with Scrabble or practice strategy and balance with Dominoes.

The Friends of Woodbridge Library (FOWL) Fashion Show – Thursday 3rd October 7pm for a  7.30pm start

The Woodbridge Fashion Show returns to the Library in October. The specially created catwalk will feature Autumn and Winter wear from some of the town’s leading clothes shops and clothes will be modelled by real customers so there will be something for all!

You will be welcomed with a glass of fizz and invited to join in the evening’s bumper raffle, with prizes donated by the town’s shops. The ticket price is £10 and booking in advance is essential. Previous fashion shows have sold out well before the evening!

Wordplay  Every Wednesday 10.30-10.50am, Baby Bounce: Soothing songs and gentle nursery rhymes for babies and their grown-ups

Every Wednesday 11.15-11.45am, Tot Rock Rhyme and rhythm: music, songs and action rhymes for toddlers with their parents and carers.

Every Friday 10.30-11.00am, Story Time: Stories and more for young children accompanied by an adult.

Stay & Play- Friday 9:30am – 10:15am  A chance for new parents to meet and share experiences in a relaxed environment, gaining peer support.
