  1. New Horizon’s Club
Purpose of Grant Application
We are a local not for profit club in Melton providing Lunch and Entertainment for the over 55’s on Mondays and Thursdays. Many of our lovely members are over 90 years old and we have lots of lovely volunteers who drive them and help at the club. We have kept our cost as low as we can at £12 for the day for travel, lunch and entertainment.
We have local entertainers come in providing music and other types of entertainment. As with everything they are having to put their costs up. As a club we would greatly benefit with a grant to help pay for the entertainment so we could provide more for our members.

Roughly £160 to £200 a month it currently costs for 2 entertainers a month.

  1. Woodbridge Primary School
Purpose of Grant Application
Please can we apply for £500 to buy a new shade sail and a wooden house to provide early years with shading in their outdoor classrooms. Our current shade sails have ripped and are rather threadbare. The school really strongly promotes outdoor learning but now that the sun is shining there is no shade for the young children to be able to learn and take part in different activities. We would really be grateful if you are able to provide us with funding as we are currently fundraising to replace our outdoor equipment as it has rotted, so do not have the funds to replace this at the moment. We do not want to lose out on vital outside learning due to not being able to provide the children with a comfortable learning area, which is a delight to watch the children be able to explore and really benefit for the summer weather

What will be the benefit to the people of Melton of your project?
The parents and children attending our school are from Melton so will directly benefit by having the parish council supporting the local community and their local school. The benefits will go directly to the children of Melton supporting their education and trying to give every opportunity to developed and explore their education in an active and fun learning environment.
