Beacon Lighting – Thursday 2nd June

Join us at the Melton Recreation Ground at 9pm on Thursday 9th June where we will be raising the flag to mark the Queen’s Jubilee and lighting the beacon.

Melton Fete – Saturday 4th June

Melton Parish Council will hold our annual Fete on the 4th June between 11-3pm at Melton Recreation Ground to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and to mark our coming together again after what has been a difficult two years.

The Fete is to maintain its traditional theme and to date 28 participants have confirmed that they would like to be involved in the fete. This includes children’s entertainment by Chris the Clown and an ice cream van.

There will be the opportunity to take part in activities including archery, a junior football challenge, nature trails and building a large-scale bug hotel with Suffolk Wildlife Trust. Paws of Parham are kindly hosting a dog show and dog agility trials. There will be a belly dancing troupe to entertain you as well as music by the Ipswich Wind Ensemble. Melton Parish Council will be running the BBQ.
