Suffolk County Council is proposing to introduce a 30mph speed limit on Wilford Bridge Road (A1152). It is proposed to remove the section of derestricted carriageway, between the existing derestricted speed limit at the junction of Sutton Road (B1083) and Orford Road (A1152) and the existing 30mph speed limit to the entrance of the Village of Melton.
By the removal of this length of derestricted carriageway, this proposal will assist with reducing vehicle speed on the approach to Melton. This will improve road and pedestrian safety and has been supported by both the Melton and Bromeswell Parish Councils and County Councillors Alexander Nicoll and Andrew Reid.
