CityFibre Rollout of Project Gigabit

CityFibre are carrying out works in Station Road from today, at The Grove (temporary obstruction) from 1st to 3rd May and at Old Maltings Approach 8th to 10th May (involving multi-way traffic signals). At the end of May minor works will take place on Bredfield Road.

The Suffolk rollout of Project Gigabit will take about 4-5 years and Melton is in the early part of the project (called Drawdown 1). Woodbridge and Melton are the first areas to be connected as part of this rollout, followed by the Trimleys and Felixstowe.

CityFibre have been active in Suffolk for the last few years, delivering full fibre rollouts in Ipswich, Lowestoft and Bury St. Edmunds. Project Gigabit means they will be providing gigabit-capable full fibre to hard-to-reach or left-behind premises and areas across the county, delivering a project on behalf of the government.
