At the Annual Parish Meeting on the 24th April 2024, the Melton Award was presented to Peter James in recognition of the service they give to the village. Peter does a phenomenal amount of volunteering in Melton including the Melton Wombles, Melton Good Neighbour Scheme, Melton Messenger and delivering food parcels. He is also the Parish Council’s Climate Advocate. He certainly makes Melton a better place.
