Fire Safety – Safer Home Visits and Duty Officer Service

Fire Safety 
Representatives of Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and East Suffolk Council Building Control met in March 2020 to consider Suffolk’s response to the first phase of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. The Committee made a number of recommendations, one of which was to encourage all county, district and parish councillors to publicise amongst their constituents:

  • the fire safety assessments (safer home visits) that Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service provides to residents
  • the duty officer service that Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service provides to tenants or anyone concerned about a fire risk in Suffolk.
