Flying of Drones or other Aerial Devices

For reasons of public safety, Recreation Committee at its meeting on 7 March 2018 adopted the following policy in relation to the flying of Drones or other Aerial Devices (including model aircraft on or above Council owned land:

Melton Parish Council Policy on the Flying of Drones or other Aerial Devices (including Model Aircraft)

For reasons of public safety Drones or any other Aerial Devices may not be flown from or above land owned by Melton Parish Council without permission. Permission may be sought and will only be considered where use of a Drone or other Aerial Device is required by a commercial body for a genuine business or professional reason and the body has the appropriate expertise to operate such a device with safety and possesses appropriate insurance cover to the satisfaction of the Council.
